      Cancer is rogue cells growing, dividing and spreading in the body    –    out of control because cancer cells find ways to bypass normal checkpoints. Your first questions may be, why should it happen, how serious is it and what can be done to stop it?

      Nothing else would matter if, after a diagnosis of cancer, there was a really good answer to the last of these three. You may wish to read in more detail about the nature of cancer, in order to understand more fully. That essay is kept up to date though not equally in all areas.

      This site cannot give enough detail to answer all questions for all visitors, but we shall explain principles both of the underlying problem and your practical response, and help you find other good sources of genuine information. If you do not see as many pictures as is usual on websites, it is only because we prefer plain words. The real truth is better served that way.
